After living in Hampton Vale for 18 months, my daughter Immy left for University, and I felt I had time to devote to helping my local community. I was delighted to be elected to the Parish Council in 2014. As a Councillor I was involved in helping to organise the D day and Queens 90th birthday celebrations, which were hugely rewarding. I sit on the Allotments, and Finance Committees so it has been especially pleasing to see the development of the Hampton Vale allotments which are now well established. I also take part in the Hampton in Action group which meets once a month to litter pick, and help keep rubbish to a minimum. For me, it is especially important to look after our green spaces so they can be enjoyed by everyone - if you have a spare hour then your input would be welcomed. I was privileged and honoured to be elected as Vice Chairman last year. I will endeavour to continue to help the residents of Hampton get the best the Parish Council can offer in terms of funding, grants, and other opportunities. I would urge anyone who feels that the Parish Council can help them, in any way, to get in touch.
